The only argument I ever hear for siding against the Stormcloaks, aside from the very debatable pragmatism of sticking with the Empire, is the false 'muh racism' narrative. But when you see more of your kind lika khajiits, imperials and others it makes siding with Stormcloaks easier I guess. It makes roleplaying rather un-immersive when the faction you join hates your guts. I guess in Bethesda's defense if you were playing as a Dark Elf you'd see nothing but nords in the Stormcloaks.
