Chief of Clan MacLeod was out in the Holy Lands in the 1600's when he captured a Bagpiper in the enemy forces.
The first bagpipers in Scotland were said to have come from Italy, from a place called Cremona. Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Israel, etc etc. each country has its own claim to a Type of bagpipe, i.e. Well there are many theories about the origin of the bagpipe.
